A “team-up” more up my alley, of two not so super superheros… Ware’s ‘Superman’ & The Death Ray jumbled together by Jeremy Eaton.
If you like this, check out more Cartoon Jumbles page where there’s details to commission your own for only $75. The Doofus/Doctor Strange and Frank/the Crypt Keeper are pretty great.
This is an unusual one. It looks to be part of a 20th anniversary celebration release from and for the record label SubPop. This image is a greeting card of some sort (more info here). The front of the card has a collage that includes a panel from Wilson and what looks to be something from a Chris Ware comic, among other things…
Sidenote: Back in the Nirvana heydays of Subpop, Clowes created their mascot “Punky” and did some art for a couple of their compilation covers.
Portraits of cartoonists Daniel Clowes, Chris Ware, Jerry Moriarty, and Johnny Ryan’s character Loady Mcgee by the venerable, Tony Millionaire.
